HOW TO GROW CAT GRASS WITH MKB'S ULTIMATE KIT
CAT GRASS IS VERY EASY TO GROW WITH MKB'S GROWING KITS!
✔️ Start by soaking 1 tablespoon of MKB seeds for 4-8 hours.
✔️ Put ½ an OMRI soil puck per MKB’s glass planter in a bowl.
✔️ Add ¼ cup of water to hydrate and expand.
✔️ Sprinkle your hydrated seeds on top.
✔️ Cover seeds with a thin layer of soil.
✔️ Cover the seeds with a moist paper towel and spritz regularly until grass is about ¼” tall (about 3 days after planting.
✔️ Uncover your seeds and move to a sunny place.
✔️ Spritz as needed until grass is about 4-5” tall.
✔️ Place your vase in the wood planter and delight your kitty!
CAT GRASS CARE INSTRUCTIONS
✔️ Plants need natural light: Cat grass is no exception. Keep your cat grass in or near a sunny spot.
✔️ Water: Use the spritz bottle included in your kit to spritz your grass two or three times a week. Aim the spritz at the roots and not so much to the grass itself. Water in the mornings; avoid watering in the evening or at night.
✔️ White Mold: Your cat grass may grow some white mold in the roots. It's normal and totally harmless to you and your cat. Moving your plant to a window where it gets direct sunlight may help. Otherwise, you can ignore it.
✔️ Black Mold: While unusual, the conditions in your home may lend themselves to the growth of some black mold. In this case, it's time to dispose of the grass and start a new round of planting.
✔️ Trimming: Depending on how much your cat nibbles on the grass, it may get a little long and saggy. Simply clip off the limp portions until the grass reaches a nice spiky shape. You can then add the clippings as a yummy food topper to your cat’s next meal! Make sure the clippings are around a ¼”.
✔️ Life cycle: With proper care, your MKB’s cat grass will look healthy, yummy, and peppy for about 2-3 weeks. After that, it’s time to start a new cycle.
